Expect High Performance. Through hands-on experience, learn how to diagnose, repair, and service Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Harley Davidson, Polaris, and more. Class functions like a professional shop, taking on outside projects, as well as, working on shop bikes. Students learn the skills needed to obtain a career in the motorcycle or watercraft service field including: • Shop functions • Diagnosis, repair and performance of preventive maintenance • Engine overhaul • Wheels, tires and brakes • Suspension and drive train • Fuel systems • Electrical systems • Equipment identification • Employability skills • Occupational health and safety Upon completion of the class, many students seek careers as pre-delivery inspection technicians (assembling new motorcycles), parts associates, or watercraft/motorcycle technicians. Others obtain a college degree and pursue careers as service managers, instructors or become a shop owner.

Motorcycle/ATV Maintenance

Central Tech’s Motorcycle Maintenance class is designed to provide you with the skills that will allow you to keep your motorcycles in top running condition. In this class you will learn how to change oil, inspect and adjust cables, maintain chain and shaft drive systems, air filter replacement/cleaning, fuel system care, basic electrical system troubleshooting, brakes inspection and replacement, clutch and drive system inspection, suspension inspection and adjustment, 4-stroke engine theory, and the purpose of valves and why they need adjustments. You are encouraged to bring your own motorcycle. The course is flexible. You can choose new skills and topics of interest.
