EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

DESCRIPTION

Central Tech Sapulpa is offering quality Child Development Associate training. Blended Classes are set up so that students attend class on Tuesdays at the Sapulpa Campus and any other time during the week the student will complete online assignments from home or work.

Computers are available at Central Tech through the Adults Education office.

The CDA Pathways Curriculum ensures that the students are well prepared to complete the CDA requirements. Classes can be taken in any order except Unit 10, which is offered in May.

Class fees do not include book costs. Book prices may vary.

Anyone age 16 or older may enroll in a short-term class on a first-come, first-served basis. Certain restrictions may apply. Costs shown are tuition only. Book/supply costs and special testing fees are not included in the tuition cost. Enrollment is taken by the Adult Education/ACD staff Monday through Thursday from 8AM-9:30PM and Friday from 8AM-4PM.

CDA Unit 1: Providing for Children’s Safety
This class provides child care providers with safety concepts for everyday issues including written policies and responsibilities for carrying them out.

CDA Unit 2: Providing for Children’s Health
This class teaches child care providers health concepts, written policies, and responsibilities for practicing good health in the early learning environment.

CDA Unit 3: Providing an Environment for Learning
This course will assist child care providers in creating an environment that promotes learning and development in all areas.

CDA Unit 4: Child Growth/Development Concepts
This class instructs teaches you how to effectively work with children from birth through age 5, and children of all ages with special needs.
